The flipped classroom changes the idea of school, and allows technology to come into play more efficiently. This means rather than students learning information traditionally from the teacher, they learn it from online resources outside of class, and then come to school prepared already! This means that already have some background knowledge and come in with questions, and are thus open to deeper learning in the classroom. A source of educational videos could be found at https://alison.com/, which is a source of online courses covering most subjects for free!
"Open" educational resources are those that are available to everyone. These would include video lectures, tutorials, or examples of problems you generally see in higher-education classes online for free. This means anyone will access can see and learn from this. This is an amazing resource for anyone looking to further their knowledge without paying high tuition; curious students, or elders with free time, for example. A great "open" educational resource can be found at this website HERE.
I learned a ton from doing assignment 5. For example, I learned how to add animations and a voice over. The animations were fun to use, and they also made my powerpoint more interactive for students, which everyone in the hypothetical classroom would appreciate. On the contrary, I didn't like having to record the video, just because it made me self-conscious of my teaching strategies, and grammar. and all the small errors. Next time, it would help to write out some sort of script instead of winging it.
